Hey ! I’m Shiloh. I am an artist, a reader, and a mental illness warrior. I started this blog because of my love for books, but as time goes on it is also becoming a platform where I share my art, and my progress in fighting mental illness. Reading started for me when I was in the darkest place in my life. I wasn’t diagnosed at the time and suffering from depression. I was going away on vacation when a co-worker offered me a book she had read and loved. I finally gave in and took the book. A few days before leaving I found myself reading the book and it taking me outside of my reality and it gave my a break form my battles. From that moment on books have played a big part of my life. A lot of the time I’m reading not for enjoyment, even though I do enjoy it, but I’m reading for a peace of mind.  I hope you enjoy my adventures as well as get to love all of yours.

  1. Hi, I dropped by via Goodreads and decided to follow. I really admire your honesty and hope that reading can help give you some strength through difficult times. On a lighter note, those bookshelves in the background look AMAZING *pets screen*

  2. Hi Shiloh,

My name is Shaun and I’m an author, just wondering if you consider reviewing books, in exchange for a free ebook copy?

Here is a link to my book (Ewan Pendle and the White Wraith) on amazon, so you can have a look and decide if it may or may not be something you would be interested in reading – http://amzn.eu/6FjYTA3

Thanks for taking the time to consider my enquiry, and I look forward to hearing from you soon.

    1. Thank you! For me I noticed certain genres helped my mental illnesses more then others. So once you know which ones do then your pretty much set ! I lean towards sci-fi and dystopian more so. I hope you find what works for you! Thanks for the kind words. Happy reading ! ❤
